In April of 2006, JCHX was awarded the contract from the Guizhou
Kailin Group for Tender A (Yongshaba Mine, Qingcaichong Mine)
construction and Tender B (Maluping Mine) construction of its 4
million tons per year reforming and expansion project. That was our
first chemical mine domestically.
The auxiliary ramp of the Yongshaba Mine is 676 meters long; and
the excavation quantity is 9,479m3. The conveyor incline shaft of
the Qingcaichong Mine is 1,935 meters long; with an excavation
quantity of 29,170m3. The conveyor incline shaft of the Maluping
Mine is 1,464 meters long; with an excavation quantity of 21,881m3.
The auxiliary ramp of the Maluping mine is 1,615 meters long, with
an excavation quantity of 30,701m3.
The challenge with the Kailin mine construction is rock that is
easily broken. All constructions must be supported with rock
bolting, shotcreting and wire net; while the big chambers and cross
points need support with steel wire rope bolting. JCHX used a
construction method whereby a smaller section is excavated and then
it is enlarged with temporary rock bolting and shotcreting support,
at the end with permanent rock bolting, wire netting and
shorcreting support. We have achieved good results, with an average
monthly advance for the excavation of the ramp is 120 meters; the
fastest advance is 150 meters in one month. The average monthly
advance for the excavation of the incline is 140 meters; the
fastest excavation in one month is 190 meters.
